It worked great and that's why I paid for it. I think it works, but it's linux/GTK/mingw crap that's also clunky to use (think, it creates a lock file while installing it, if install fails, you have to look for the godammn lock file, delete it, start it again, awful unix shit, as always). VLC is crap, it will only work if you have the video's URL, in which case you'd be able to download it using any regular browser. It will remain there looking for the video for 10, 15, 20 minutes. It indeed has a file grabber feature, it will download the whole web page and analyse it to see if it finds a video there. It's always updating, always broken.Ī lot of videos it will say "error" and that's it, and when it does download, it's 60KBps, no more than that.īy far the worst. Used to work great, but since at least 2 years now it is broken. It might work, but 1st you have to read a fuckton of command line options to figure out what you need to do. Never tried downloading youtube video with it though.Ĭlunky CLI program. Just not the best downloader out there, based on Java, slow and it has 2 versions, one that has adware and other that doesnt.
